Life without limits

Trevor & Alicia are Married!

Filed under: Weddings — Mike at 2:42 am on Thursday, November 23, 2006

I shot Trevor & Alicia’s engagement session and Alicia’s bridal session several weeks ago and just had the opportunity to photograph their wedding on October 28th!

Because of our trip out west, I am incredibly behind in blogging but they have been so patient with me. So first off, thanks for waiting! They had a beautiful ceremony at Westminster Presbyterian and an incredible reception at the Jefferson Center.

So without any further delays…here’s a very small glimpse of their celebration…

They have such awesome smiles…especially when laughing!

How’s that for a chocolate cake?! You can almost taste it.

I really love this image. The baby her father held in his hands only years ago is now the woman he gave away.

There are very few things in this world that are as powerful as a parent’s love for their child.

Congratulations Dan & Kelsey!

I shot Dan & Kelsey’s wedding on the 21st and had a great time with everyone! Their ceremony was at Kelsey’s parents home on Smith Mountain Lake, and the reception followed at Mariner’s Landing. Greg from Memories coordinated the event and did a great job as always.

So, on to the images now! Congratulations to you both, and thank you for inviting me to be a part of your day!

Eric & Natalie get married!

Now this was a really fun wedding! Eric and Natalie were married on the 14th at Mariner’s Landing and I had a blast celebrating with them.

The wedding party was cool, and up for anything, so I definitely took advantage of that. Congratulations to you both, and thanks so much for inviting me!

I keep thinking “Mr Anderson….” whenever I see this image (watch the Matrix if you’re not sure what that means)

Natalie gets the coolest veil & veil shot award!

I love this! Just this little glimpse tells the story

Okay, just so you know, they said it was okay to put the following on here! A few months ago Eric was giving Natalie a piggy back ride when he tripped and landed face first, busting out several teeth! Knowing this going into the wedding, we just had to get this image as a reminder for them!

The DJ (Ken Frith, who was awesome by the way) had all married couples come on the dance floor. He then had couples leave the floor when he called the years they had been married…so 24 hrs, 1 year, 5 years, 10 years, etc. This image is who is still remaining at 30 YEARS! That is so awesome. Congratulations to every couple in this image dancing.

Ryan & Sara are Married!

I had fun photographing Ryan and Sara’s wedding on Saturday the 7th! The ceremony was held at the gazebo on Virginia Tech’s campus, with the reception following at The Farmhouse.

Before Saturday, I had never actually met Ryan and Sara. We communicated through e-mail and phone calls up until then, but I felt right at home with them as soon as we met!

Knowing that the weather forecast was NOT good, I had been praying all morning that God would hold off the rain until after the ceremony because we would all be outside. Well, I’m here to tell you that God answers prayer! Almost exactly 15 minutes after the ceremony ended - right during the middle of our quick groups - it DUMPED on us! I was actually laughing while running for cover because I remembered my prayer. I do think next time I will ask for a little more time!

The rain didn’t stop Ryan & Sara from venturing back out under a cozy little umbrella…and I’m so glad they did. They results are awesome!

Congratulations to you both and thanks so much for including me in your day!

P.S.
By the way, big props to Sara for wearing a colored dress…it was beautiful!
