Michael Escalera Photography has gotten a new blog!

I’ve enjoyed posting to this one on a regular basis for over two years now, but it was time for a change.

The Eblog has community features such a comments enabled for every post for all my blog-stalkers, and e-mail interactivity. That means you can e-mail any post to your family or friends directly from the post iteself!

There’s also a little more interactivity from me as you can now see what I am doing daily through the Twitter widget, and even keep up with what I am reading and listening to!

Yes, I have something new in the works again! It is going to make all my blog-stalkers pretty happy actually.

I truly enjoy photography for what it is - a gift. I believe that I have the best job in the entire world.

In my spare time (few and far between) I enjoy photographing the beauty of nature seen everywhere I look. This is a beautiful world, and we are blessed to enjoy it through the gift of sight.

These quotes summarize well the new journey that is about the occur for our family.

We are moving to the West, a beautiful part of the country that holds such a large place in our hearts. Our new home is Dayton, Nevada, which is about 45 minutes east of Lake Tahoe.

We have a some family members in Dayton, and within about a day’s drive we have many more family members. While Amy & Austin are still young, we want them to be closer to much of our family out west.

On Wednesday, September 26, 2007, we will leave Virginia after three and a half wonderful years of learning, community, friendships, and love. It has been a privilege to serve each and every one of my clients. I have met so many other wonderful photographers here in Virginia and it is an honor to call many of them friends.

With this move, there is no promise of success, only the fact that we know this is what God wants for our lives.

So thank you for your support, your encouragement, your love, and for allowing me to be a part of your lives.
