Life without limits

Gabriel & Amber

Gabriel & Amber’s wedding had a country theme so it was only fitting to have it hosted at the Boxtree Lodge. Admidst the coldness of the day we had a beautiful sunset and a wonderful time with this great couple.

Something that I thought was neat was instead of having a traditional cake, family and friends brought home made pies - and I have never seen so many! It truly was a beautiful wedding.

Congratulations again to you both!

Gabriel & Amber - First Look

Last weekend I photographed Gabriel and Amber’s wedding at the Boxtree Lodge. I’ll post more on their wedding later but I wanted to share this wonderful moment first.

A lot of my brides ask me is it better to see each other before the ceremony or just wait. Let me first tell you about Gabriel and Amber.

Amber had finished getting dressed and was waiting for Gabriel to arrive at the Lodge. Once he arrived and was ready, we asked him to walk out to this area and simply wait for a tap on his shoulder - but NO peeking!

You can see his reaction for yourself, but what you don’t see is the next few wonderful moments that they spent together in this beautiful area at sunset - just the two of them. After they talked for a little bit everyone was able to relax and enjoy the fun images with the bridal party.

While I always respect whatever decision is made, moments like this are why I always recommend seeing each other before the ceremony.

Two weeks ago I had a wonderful evening engagement session with Kevin and Chrystal. We had fun going all over the campus at Virginia Tech and were even blessed with a spectacular sunset.

I’m looking forward to your wedding in just a few weeks!

Thanksgiving

Every one of us have so much to be thankful for. Even when we face uncertainty and other trials we are still far more blessed then some will ever hope to be.

To my Heveanly Father, my encouraging wife, my beautiful family, to each and every one of my clients who have become an extended family, and other blessings more than I can mention or count - I am thankful.

To the men and women of the military who protect this great country, and the men and women of all the emergency serives that keep us running every day - thank you.

Let’s not remember to say thanks just one day each year, but instead live a life of gratitude each morning that we are blessed enough to wake up.

I hope everyone enjoys this special holiday…and may the best Cowboy win!

By Best to Everyone,
Michael

Barry & Bethanie

Last week I photographed Barry and Bethanie up at the Mill Star Mountain. We were blessed with more of the beautiful fall colors as we had fun photographing in the chilly morning air.

We then headed to Fishburn Park to meet up with their three very active dogs! They had fun playing around and we even managed to calm them down for a quick family portrait.

I’m looking forward to your wedding next May!
