Life without limits

James & Carrie

Last Saturday I met with James and Carrie for a quick engagement session and a family outing. After the three of us went for a little bit, they stopped by their house on the way to Hollins University to pick up their kids!

It was a fun time playing in the park with themand enjoying the nice weather. The dogs reminded me of our own Husky, Mia, that we used to have when Amy was first born. Unfortunately she was allergic so Mia had to go. Now that Amy’s older - maybe she’s grown out of it?!

Anyway, I’m looking forward to your wedding tomorrow!

I first met Sarah, her mom, and her sister a couple months back and just loved how energetic and smiley they all were! We had a lot of fun discussing their wedding this coming September.

Fast forward two months and I finally got to meet her wonderful fiance Mike! They make such a great couple and we had a fun time with their engagement session down at Virginia Tech.

I’m looking forward to your wedding!

I photographed Ryan and Emily’s engagement session just before leaving for Vegas and had a lot of fun with them! They were a little shy at first but the images sure don’t show that!

I’m looking forward to your wedding next month!

I am back in Virginia and trying to get life back in gear! There are so many thoughts and exciting ideas running through my head, but I figured I would slow down a little bit and post some images from Vegas. It really was such an awesome trip, and as always…it was exciting to go, and exciting to come back!

Such a nice start to the trip…a visit to Starbucks

Wish we had these here!

A quick visit to Paris

The cool monorail system that gets you through Vegas

The valet area of The Rio (incredible food at their buffet by the way)

This is the hand blown glass hanging in the lobby of the Bellagio

This was only part of the incredible view from the 34th floor Penthouse Suite of the Bellagio! Leah and were at an incredible invitation only party hosted by my friend Kevin Jairaj.

What happens when wedding photographers get together for a party? We have wedding cake!

The view of the water display was incredible from the Penthouse!

I really do think that the Bellagio is the most beautiful hotel in Vegas. It was certainly the most impressive!

And one of the main reasons this trip was so incredible…my beautiful wife was with me! Many thanks to my bud Dave Takayoshi for taking this!

Going Home

Isn’t technology cool? Leah and I are sitting in McCarran Airport in Las Vegas waiting to board our flight to Atlanta and I’m crusin the net and checking e-mail!

It has been an incredible five days with an almost overwhelming amount of information to process. I found some incredible new album companies that I am very excited to work with, and a few other products that I am going to integrate into my business.

Over and over again, I think the biggest point that was driven in to me was that I do not necessarily have to be the greatest photographer in the world - I just need to be different and unique. Of course my art still has plenty of areas to improve in, but I do believe that my images and style are exactly that…different.

I have tried not to follow the usual view point of wedding photographers and am continuously tried to push the boundries in what I can do. I am SO excited about this year and what it holds in store for my photography.

Hang on tight…it’s going to be a fun ride!
