Life without limits

My Schedule

Filed under: Misc — Mike at 10:30 am on Tuesday, May 16, 2006

Just so everyone knows that I am not ignoring them, whenever I shoot a wedding on a Saturday I always take Monday off to spend with my wife and kids (in addition to Sunday of course). I think this is very important time and hope that everyone understands and respects my decision. That means if an e-mail or voicemail comes in late Friday, I will not be able to answer until Tuesday morning.

There is a verse that I read last night that speaks about eternity, but I also thought about this in the context of my family:

Luke 9:25 - “For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world and loses or forfeits himself” [his family]?”

Life is way too short to not spend enough time with your family!

Love and best wishes,
Michael

Graduation

This post is honor of my brother Stephen as today he graduates with his Masters of Businss Administration! He has been working on this for several years in between working more than full time hours and supporting his family.

His dedication is something to be admired and it has already served him well as he just received another promotion! I am so proud of him and I know he is excited as this chapter of learning in his life comes to a close.

Congratulations bro! I love ya…

Barry & Bethanie

Now this was a fun wedding! I photographed Barry & Bethanie’s engagement last November and thoroughly enjoyed photographing their wedding last Saturday. They are such a great couple and I am very jealous of them as they are spending their honeymoon visiting my dream destination - Bora Bora. The island is amazing. I hope you guys are having an amazing time!

Back to their wedding! You can see just how much fun we had with a VERY small sampling of some images throughout the day. Enjoy!

InfraWed

Here is an interesting image from James and Carrie’s wedding a couple of weeks ago - it’s infrared! I love the surreal and mystical feeling that the infrared conveys in this image. I had one of my DSLR cameras converted to IR a few weeks ago and am finally starting to play with it a little more. It will be interesting to see what else comes from this little tool!

I photographed Marino & Wendy’s engagement session last fall and have loved getting to know a little about them over the past several months. Last Saturday I photographed their wedding and had a wonderful time with them!

Check out their cake and their awesome handmade tux mints!

You are a beautiful couple and I wish you much happiness!
