I was recently asked if I would speak to a group of photographers and share about my philosophy and approach to weddings and photography. My answer? YES!

Thursday night I had the great opportunity to speak at the Virginia Professional Photographers Association meeting held at photographer Debrah Wood’s studio.

There was a packed house and so for an hour and a half I shared my love of photography and how and why I do what I do. Already this morning I have received several e-mails from photographer’s in attendance with such kind words about the seminar, and asking for more information!

After shooting Jason & Kate’s sunset wedding Saturday night, my friend Kevin Hurley and I drove out to Smith Mountain Lake at 5:00am to photograph a friend’s wedding…photographer David Lee Michaels.

It was such a beautiful morning and Kevin and I had a great time photographing their intimate wedding.

Congratulations to David and Melissa!

I have had the great pleasure of getting to know Jason and Kate since April of this year and they are some of the most wonderful people I know.

It was truly an honor to photograph their wedding on the 16th at the incredibly stunning Valhalla Vineyards. A good friend of mine, Troy Parcell, was our host for the evening and his service is far superior than most every company I have worked with.

The food was catered by the very tasty Seasons & Occasions (Scot & Angie always do a such a great job) and the floral arrangements by Florabella were amazing as always.

It was a very intimate wedding with only family members present, and their sunset ceremony was the most moving I’ve heard in a very long time.

Congratulations to you both, and thank you for letting me be a part of your day.

I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph Mike & Sarah’s wedding at the beautiful Rockwood Manor on September 9th. Some of you might recognize them from their engagement session back in April.

The weather was great, the couple was beautiful, the bridal party was fun…what more can you ask for?! I’m posting a few extra tasty images just because it seems like it’s been a while since I last uploaded a wedding.
