I love bridal sessions. They are definitely one of my favorite types of sessions and are always so unique, challenging, and FUN!

I photographed Lenny & Lacey’s engagement session back in July and just photographed Lacey’s bridal last week.

Their wedding isn’t until next June, but I have already loved getting to know them both over the past year. For a little history, I met Lacey & Lenny when they were in Sean & Shelley’s bridal party - September 4th last year!

Okay, enough rambling….here’s the images!

Hopefully Lenny doesn’t get too jealous…but who can resist a Hokie in a tux?!

Apparently my brother was bored this morning so he decided to cruise my blog and check out my Raves page . So I get this e-mail from him…

“I was reading through your blog (I like looking at the pictures - all of them are great!) and decided to read through some of the “Raves.” Very cool. While reading them, an idea hit me. (”Hit me!”) I was interested in knowing which pictures went with which comments/couple and thought “This would be much easier if a link was provided to the blog entry that showcased the commenting couple’s pictures.” I’m not sure if that’s possible on the raves page, but just thought I’d throw the idea out there. That way, someone reading the blog could click on the link (maybe imbedded in the couple’s name) and see the pictures you took.”

A very cool idea indeed, and one that I have been working on for a while, but not in the way he mentioned. I was trying to get a thumbnail image of each couple beside their comments, but then I thought my brother’s idea was way better because someone could then see several images and not just one!

So, I have updated the Raves page to link each and every couple that has a blog post to their comments!

As all of my clients know, I never give out your personal information when occassionally asked for references, so hopefully this new addition to the Raves section will help it be a better resource for potential clients.

I had fun photographing Ryan and Sara’s wedding on Saturday the 7th! The ceremony was held at the gazebo on Virginia Tech’s campus, with the reception following at The Farmhouse.

Before Saturday, I had never actually met Ryan and Sara. We communicated through e-mail and phone calls up until then, but I felt right at home with them as soon as we met!

Knowing that the weather forecast was NOT good, I had been praying all morning that God would hold off the rain until after the ceremony because we would all be outside. Well, I’m here to tell you that God answers prayer! Almost exactly 15 minutes after the ceremony ended - right during the middle of our quick groups - it DUMPED on us! I was actually laughing while running for cover because I remembered my prayer. I do think next time I will ask for a little more time!

The rain didn’t stop Ryan & Sara from venturing back out under a cozy little umbrella…and I’m so glad they did. They results are awesome!

By the way, big props to Sara for wearing a colored dress…it was beautiful!

I am pleased to announce that clients can now order large prints directly through my online gallery!

Previously I had only allowed prints up to 11×14″ to be ordered online, but with the incredible quality that my lab has been consistently delivering I am happy to say I’ve made two new print sizes available for online ordering - 16×20″ and 20×24″!

Of course larger sizes can still be ordered, but I will continue to handle those custom orders personally.

to my Blog! Here’s the post that started it all exactly one year ago today!

I started my Blog to show my favorite images from each and every session and have had a blast doing it! My Blog now gets over three times the amount of unique visitors every month than my website does. Thanks to all the loyal clients and fans from whom I get so much support and feed back!

So happy birthday blog, and here’s to many more years to come!
