Hi again!

Well, we ran into some bad weather in the middle of Nebraska late Friday afternoon. It was actually pretty impressive - I forgot how menacing storms on the plains can be!

We ended up spending the night in North Platte, Nebraska and arrived into Cheyenne, Wyoming about lunch time on Saturday.

It was really neat coming back through Interstate 80 and being able to see the Rocky Mountains over 75 miles away.

We’ll be here in Wyoming and Colorado until Thursday morning, when we will once again hit the road and finish our journey to Nevada!

Hi all,

We are in North Platte, NE! There was a couple of delays today, and a big storm (the lightning was incredible!) that we drove through in the evening, but we are safe and sound in our hotel now.

Tomorrow we have about 3 hours left to make it to Cheyenne, Wyoming and then we’ll have a few days break in between there and Northern Colorado.

I’m going to make it an early night tonight, but I’ll blog again soon!

Hi everyone,

We had a lot of rain and a huge thunderstorm early this morning, but other than that, we have had beautiful weather the rest of the day!

Tonight we made it to just north of Kansas City, Missouri and are staying in a pretty nice hotel with lots of features, free wi-fi, and a pretty sweet breakfast setup in the morning.

We are praying to make it to Cheyenne, Wyoming tomorrow evening, where we will be spending a couple of days. I’m going to head off to dreamland now…goodnight!

Hi blog family,

It has been a long day! We made it to just outside of Louisville, KY and just got in to our hotel about an hour ago.

Everyone else is asleep, but I think I am still a little wired. Plus, it’s cool having free wi-fi…I can post this while lying in bed! You gotta love technology.

A HUGE thank you goes out to each and everyone of our friends and family who came over last night to help us pack the truck and prepare for our move. You guys are incredible!

I think I’m going to wrap this up and try to get some sleep now, but I’ll update you again when I can!

These quotes summarize well the new journey that is about the occur for our family.

We are moving to the West, a beautiful part of the country that holds such a large place in our hearts. Our new home is Dayton, Nevada, which is about 45 minutes east of Lake Tahoe.

We have a some family members in Dayton, and within about a day’s drive we have many more family members. While Amy & Austin are still young, we want them to be closer to much of our family out west.

On Wednesday, September 26, 2007, we will leave Virginia after three and a half wonderful years of learning, community, friendships, and love. It has been a privilege to serve each and every one of my clients. I have met so many other wonderful photographers here in Virginia and it is an honor to call many of them friends.

With this move, there is no promise of success, only the fact that we know this is what God wants for our lives.

So thank you for your support, your encouragement, your love, and for allowing me to be a part of your lives.
