Life without limits

Bridal Show!

Filed under: Weddings — Mike at 8:30 pm on Tuesday, November 6, 2007

I received an invitation to the Bridal Open House at Dayton Valley Golf and Country Club this coming Thursday, November 8!

There’s going to be lots of local wedding vendors there and it will be a great opportunity for brides to check out who they want to spend their wedding day with!

If you’re in the area, stop by and say hi and we’ll chat a little!

Take care,
Michael

Four Weeks

Filed under: Misc — Mike at 10:15 pm on Friday, November 2, 2007

Hi Blog Family!

Four weeks ago today we arrived in Dayton, Nevada and so much has happened since then. Thanks so much to all of my clients who have been SO patient during this busy moving time.

On top of everything else going on, we bought a house and are spending our first night in it tonight! It’s a beautiful home, and we are blessed more than we deserve.

There are several people who made our moving and home buying process here so awesome, and I cannot think of anything better than to thank them publicly!

First and foremost, God, for protecting us, taking care of us, and providing for us every step of the way.

Next would be all of our family and friends that helped us through so many long hours and late nights of preparation.

After that….all of the following people were so great to work with!

Warren Good - our awesome realtor from Realty Executives. He really made this transaction SO smooth and was incredibly patient with us. If you are buying or selling property - call Warren!

Steffani with Carson Valley Mortgage (775-783-9700) was incredible…she got us to closing in TWO WEEKS!

John LaMora with TLC Handyman (775-790-0310) took care of transforming our home into something truly spectacular. His custom painting skills are amazing, and his quality of work and honesty are RARE these days!

Perry Capalbo with Farmers Insurance (775-783-9085) got us an incredible package deal on homeowners insurance combined with our two auto policies. Besides that, he and his wife and family are just super people to hang out with!

That’s about all I can think of for now. For those I am forgetting to mention (because my brain is on overload right now), please forgive me and know that we couldn’t have done this without all of you.

We are looking forward to becoming a part of this wonderful community and are thrilled to be here. Thank you again!

Best Wishes,
Michael

How’s Your Network?

Filed under: Photographers — Mike at 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 25, 2007

I can’t stress enough how important it is to have a good network with other professionals. Some photographers think they can go it alone and don’t need anyone else……until something happens.

Today I had lunch with a rockin local photographer - Doug Miranda. The area is lucky to have him, and I enjoyed getting to know him better!

Check out his site and blog when you get a chance!

Best Wishes,
Michael

Hi everyone!

I finally set aside some time to share a few images from our trip! There has been so much going on lately, but it is all so exciting.

Enjoy the images!

Our comfy ride (yeah right-but this truck was MUCH better than U-hu’s)

Of course, it was always VERY thirsty

One of many great sunsets along the way

This is what the road looks like after highway hypnosis sets in

Another great sunset

Another gas station

Ahh yes…..BLUE skies!

A huge storm over Nebraska

There we are again - filling up!

We stopped at a neat Veteran’s Memorial in North Platte, Nebraska

The entry to the memorial

The sculptures are carved into the stone

It was very impressive!

The flag needs to be replaced, but it is always good to see her flying

Another hotel stop

Another gas stop

Want some corn?

Big kitty at the Denver Zoo

A very rare snow leopard

A not so ferocious kitty

I love the colors!

I was going for a vintage, almost depression era look here

Another cool sunset - I think that’s a lenticular cloud

The west is awesome for scenery

Makes you want to go climbing huh?

I love this shot too!

Plenty of wind to power these

For scale, take a look at that yellow dot down the bottom - that’s a full size pickup!

One of many looooonnnggggg, open roads

The landscapes here are so beautiful

Did I mention how beautiful this area is?

A quick stop before Salt Lake City

I think this is rabbit weed, but it still looks cool

Another neat landscape

This cross was for a state trooper killed while on duty

The last beautiful sunset before arriving!

Moving - Day 10..We’re Here!

We made it into Dayton, Nevada today about 2:30! Our few days of rest in Wyoming/Colorado were awesome, and we really enjoyed spending time with family.

It has been a wonderful journey, and we are so thankful for all of the prayers and support that we have received from family and so many friends.

It’s going to take a few days to get life back together, and once I have my office setup I’ll have a huge blog post with loads of images from the trip.

So stay tuned, and thanks again!

Best Wishes,
Michael
